How will Tammy do this?
* Introduce a ward system so citizens have direct access to their own councillor
* Ensure public access to each councillor’s voting record.
* Each council meeting should have time set aside for spontaneous public input.
* Analysis of the budget with a view to restricting excessive borrowing, paying down debt and establishing clear guidelines for any new project.
* Strict limitations on tax increases.
* Growth Management – infrastructure needs to catch up with growth.
*An innovative approach to building recreation facilities.
*Address street safety through neighborhood watches and citizen on patrol strategies.
*Investigate safe and reliable long-term water strategies.
*Forge strong relationships with the provincial government to ensure Airdrie's access to education (schools) and healthcare (urgent care).
*Transit – more efficient route planning.
